Total Ban In All Plastic Food Packaging From February 13, 2022 Onwards
From February 3 the prohibition of plastic food packaging will extend to all businesses in Chile. In order to protect the environment, reduce waste generation, and promote recycling. On February 13, Chile officially implemented Law No. 21.368 on Plastic Restriction. Now the paper food packaging is going to be even more part of our daily routine.
This first step in disposable product regulation opened up a debate: what should we do with the other single use plastic products? Through other legislative initiatives, Chile is trying to take care of all the rest.
